English priest stole from the living and the dead

A Church of England priest who failed to
appear in court on the day he was convicted of
pocketing around 24,000 pounds ($37,000) of
church funds has gone missing. Police were
searching Friday for 50-year-old Simon
Reynolds, who was absent from the court in
Sheffield a day earlier as a jury returned a
verdict of four counts of theft. Reynolds was
the priest in charge of All Saints Church in
Darton in
northern England between March 2007 and
March 2013. He was accused of taking fees
given to him for weddings, funerals and
graveyard monuments.
