On Friday, the 22nd of July, Ago-Iwoye and its
environs would stand still as Olabisi Onabanjo
University sets to hold its second edition of the
OOU Fashion Awards.
OOU Fashion Awards (OOUFA) is set towards
celebrating and appreciating fashion and decent
dressing in OOU, and also complimenting efforts
towards improving on the goodwill and image of
the great institution Olabisi Onabanjo University.
The first edition of OOU Fashion Awards which
held last year October, is still being discussed as
the biggest event in Olabisi Onabanjo University
in the year 2015 with highlights such as the
entry of famous actress, Ronke Odusanya, and
the many ripples it had having been reported on
the two biggest blogs in Nigeria – Linda Ikeji
and Bella Naija Blog.
This year’s edition isn’t going to be much
different except it would be bigger as mentioned
by the organizers Okunwo Anuoluwapo and
Adebeshin Samuel, both graduates of the
University. The event is set hold on the 22nd of
July, at the very spacious Ago Town Hall, Ago-
Iwoye, home to Olabisi Onabanjo University.
The event would witness various performances
by OOU’s finest musicians such as Raskapella,
Ajay, UC, Exteey, Sholexy, Dankop as well as
other famous Artistes within Ago-Iwoye and its
Environs. Not to forget is the highly anticipated
fun expected from the finest compere, Comedian
and MC, Sebalese, who would also be the host
for the night.
This year’s edition would entertain it’s audience
with a Fashion Show, Dance Performance,
Comedy and Music Performances and as well, a
Fashion competition among models and fashion
designers who would showcase their craft in
order to clinch the award for Model of the year
and Fashion Designer of the year respectively.

Lateef Adedimeji who would be our guest for the
night and also double as the chief judge for the
competition that would determine the Model of
the Year and Fashion Designer of the Year.
