Corper Francisca who just embarks on her project has ensured the pupils of Aheri Coastal College, Enu-Ama that her project will equip them towards their careers in the higher institution.
This statement was made during her launching of the project which was held on 31st of August, 2016 at the African Episcopal Church at Enu-Ama Community.
Francisca is a Batch B 2015 Corp Member serving in Aheri Coastal College, Enu-Ama Community of Ilaje Local Government in Ondo State. She has embarked on her Personal Community Development Service (P.C.D.S), building of Science Laboratory, in her Place of Primary Assignment (PPA).
According to the report gathered, the project is a worth of 2million naira, which comprises of both Biology and Chemistry Laboratory with the necessary equipment and materials needed to function effectively.
According to her, “precisely, it is improper teaching chemistry without incorporating any experiment. As a chemistry teacher, I observed that there is no science laboratory in the school and also they lack all the science equipment. Based on this, the students are deprived of quality education because they are not exposed to any experiment. Other nearby Schools like Araromi and Ilaje high School has the laboratory, so this is another reason that prompted my movement for providing one for the School.”
“Implementation of this project shall expose the students to various experiments. Subsequently, this project will equip the students towards their careers in the higher institutions. The project shall forever continue to exist from generation to generation which will enhance the development of the community, State, and Nigeria through your children”, she said.
The project is currently going on and which will be completed as soon as possible.
